If you’ve ever thumbed through your girlfriend’s iPod, you may have stumbled across the band Florence and the Machine. Their music might not be your thing, but the lead singer Florence Welch more than makes up for the melancholic tunes with her redheaded hotness. Once the English-born babe turned the tragic deaths of her grandparents into goth pop hit songs, she soon became a household name with her band’s 2009 debut album Lungs—which won the BRIT Award for Best British Album in 2010. By 2011, the group’s sophomoric album Ceremonials charted at number one in the UK and earned accolades from music magazines from around the world. In fact, each of their albums garnered much success. On stage, Florence gained a reputation for pairing flowing designer dresses with bare feet. Indeed, she describes her style as, “The Lady of Shalott meets Ophelia…mixed with scary gothic bat lady.” What else would one expect from a starlet who has been compared to Stevie Nicks, Siouxsie Sioux and Björk, to name a few. Of course, Flo could also be compared to Madonna since she’s not shy about flashing her flesh. The music video for her single What Kind of Man (2015) showcases the pale performer in sexy skivvies or bikini bottoms.
